How to Prepare Market Basket Cook In Bag:

By Conventional Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 375 F, with rack in center.
  • Remove bagged product from the box. Do not open the bag.
  • Place the bag flat side up in an oven-safe casserole dish that is at least 2 inches deep.
  • Cook for 60-90 minutes (See product box for specific cooking times) at 375 F until internal temperature reaches 165 F. 
  • Remove pan from oven and let rest for 10 minutes.
  • Working carefully to avoid steam, cut open the bag on one end and peel back the package.
  • Empty the contents into the casserole dish and discard the bag.
  • Stir with a serving spoon to break up the contents and combine with sauce.
  • Serve with your favorite starch and enjoy!

By Slow Cooker:

  • Remove bagged product from box.
  • Cut open the bag and empty the contents into a slow cooker. Discard bag.
    • If preferred, the unopened bag can be placed flat side up into the slow cooker, so that the food cooks inside the bag!
  • Cover and cook on High for 3-5 hours, or Low for 6 hours. (See product box for specific cooking times)
  • Let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with your favorite starch and enjoy!
