Glazed Dumpling Squash Recipe
Ingredients
- Vegetable oil
- 3 squashes (about 1 1/2 pounds each)
- Coarse salt and ground pepper
- 1/2 cup packed dark-brown sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
- Line two rimmed baking sheets with aluminum foil and brush with vegetable oil.
- Cut the Dumpling Squashes in half, discard the seeds, and slice them into 1-inch-thick crescents
- Lay the squash pieces on baking sheets. Season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle squashes evenly with half the sugar. Roast until the sugar has melted (5 min).
- Remove baking sheets from the oven. Turn over pieces. Season with salt and pepper; sprinkle evenly with remaining sugar. Roast until tender (20 min).
